  11. SUBJECT:        Intel Novell 4.0 Drivers Used Under Novell 3.12

  16. Currently there are four (4) patch files that are required by the INTEL driver 
  17. (INTEL596.LAN) to run under Novell 3.11.  These files are PATCHMAN.NLM, 
  18. LSLENH.NLM, MSM31X.NLM and ETHERTSM.NLM. These patch files are only used for 
  19. Novell 3.11.  
  20.  
  21. Novell 3.12 and Novell 4.0 do not require these patch files and the driver will 
  22. load correctly without loading the patch files.  If an attempt is made to load 
  23. the patch files under either Novell 3.12 or Novell 4.0, then the user will get 
  24. an error stating that the patch file is the incorrect version for that 
  25. operating system.
